Privacy policy

This site has two forms: Start a project and the free website review request. When you send either one, we receive what you enter: your name, your business name and your email address, plus anything optional you choose to add — a phone number, your website address, the type of project, and a message. On the review form, your website address is required.

You don’t need to fill in a form to contact us; you can email us directly instead.

We use what you send to read your enquiry, reply to you, and scope or review the work you asked about. We usually reply by email, and only call if you ask us to or if it helps answer your questions faster.

The forms don’t save your details on this website. When you press send, your submission goes to a small server function run by Netlify, which hosts this site. That function passes it to Resend, an email delivery service, which emails it to our inbox at dudeckdigital@gmail.com, a Google Gmail account. Your email address is set as the reply-to so we can answer you directly.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — for example which pages are visited, how people arrive, the type of device and browser, and approximate location as reported by Google.

We also record a few events: when someone clicks a “Start a project” button (and which one), and when a form is sent successfully. For the project form, that event includes the project type you selected. These events don’t include your name, email, phone number or message.

The only cookies on this site are the ones Google Analytics sets to tell visits apart (named _ga and _ga_followed by an ID). The site itself doesn’t set cookies, and we don’t use advertising or remarketing tags.

The site’s typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. To deliver them, your browser connects to Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and basic browser information.

This site links to other websites — the client sites in our portfolio, our social profiles, and our free audit tool at audit.dudeckdigital.com, which is a separate site. This policy doesn’t cover them; check each site’s own policy.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and Google offers a browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.

If what this site collects, or who helps us handle it, changes, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
